August 25-31, 2019 we travel to Vancouver Island for seven days at Bilston Creek Lavender Farm. Near the San Juan Islands on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Bilston Creek Lavender Farm sits near the coast just 40 miles from Victoria. Surrounded by woodlands filled with hiking and biking trails this is a perfect spot for a healthy nature-infused retreat.  Come solo for self-reflection and meeting new friends or come with your partner or best friend.

 

Mountain-BikeVancouver Island is packed with paved bike trail, and rugged hiking and mountain bike trails with spectacular views of the many water ways, bays and inlets along the coast. Wake up each morning to Yoga and a healthy brunch, then venture into nature on foot, bike or kayak.  Return in the evening for restorative yoga, meditation and hearty meal with friends.  Then do it again the next day!  We will have bikes available for your use, but advanced cyclists may want to bring your favorite bike.

 

BarnDoorsBilston Creek Lavender Farm has a large refurbished barn for our yoga classes. Its walls are lined with bushels of drying lavender so we will breath in the aroma of organic lavender as we practice.  After practice we will gather in the outdoor dining and kitchen are a to share brunch and make plans for the day.  During our stay we will get a farm tour and class on lavender oil distillation and browse the Bilston Creek Farm shop filled with products made on the farm.

 

Tent-InsideWe will sleep in cozy yurt-like tents, nestled under the stars.  These large tents are sturdy spacious and their interiors are luxurious!  This glamorous camping (glamping) is becoming popular all over the world as a way to be close to nature without sacrificing our creature comforts.  At the center of our circle of tents is a large well-appointed bathhouse.  Further into the woods, a private cedar shower waits for those who want go super natural!

 

Honey-Food-TrayOn this retreat we will take 16 yogis and settle in for seven days of heaven. Arrive by Sunday afternoon the 25th of August 2019 by 5:00pm.  Clear direction from Victoria International Airport will be given once you register.  Monday we begin with tea, coffee and fruit at 6:30 and Yoga 7:30-9AM. Post yoga Brunch is served at 10AM and plans are made for the day. You can hike, or bike, kayak,, take an excursion to Victoria or rest and journal, nap and dream. In the early evening we meet for restorative yoga and meditation. Dinner together in the outdoor dining area (indoors if it is chilly) at 7PM.  Under the stars be fore bed time we circle up to share stories and read to each other while sipping tea and nibbling cookies.  Click here to register now.

 

Cleanse-SaladYour retreat fees include accommodations, two yoga classes daily, vegetarian or pescatarian Brunch and Dinner daily, and special group activities. You have choices when it comes to accommodations. Our basic rate is $1600 (shop around… this is a stellar price).  Tents sleep three each and yes, you can choose your tent mates!  If you are a couple who want your own private tent, you pay $2200 each.  The tents have electricity so you can bring an electric tea pot and make tea in your tent.  If you tend to get hungry between meals, bring a supply of your favorite snacks.

Doe-Bay-SoupJennifer Lynn will teach the morning yoga classes and Sarah Gray will lead restorative yoga and meditation in the evenings. Tea and coffee and fruit will be available before class.  After class we change out of yoga clothes and into our daytime clothes before meeting for a large Brunch.  Mid week we will plan a trip into Victoria to the Empress Hotel for High Tea and some Vancouver Island Shopping.  Of course you are free to stay in retreat at the farm or choose other excursions such as extensive Bike Rides.

One month before the retreat date you will receive a letter with details about ground transport, meeting times, and what to bring. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the case of a natural disaster or unforeseen circumstances causing a cancellation of the retreat, fees will be refunded. Otherwise, your commitment is required and your fees are non-refundable.
