Muscle is an enormous metabolic organ. Let’s use it, not lose it! Old fashioned, potent fundamentals: push, pull, lunge, squat, hinge, core strength performed for quality to maximize muscle growth and minimize injury.

Class begins with an offering of intention or theme that invites deeper exploration, interaction and discovery. Reiki and Restorative is a deeply grounding and relaxing class. Unwind, relax and reignite energetic flow with reiki-infused restorative yoga. We use intention, breath and alignment to open pathways in the body and mind. Long-held poses with ample prop support make this class accessible to all. Eyes are mostly closed, encouraging an inward journey to reconnect with self.

Iyengar Yoga PM
This gentle and restorative class is focused on building strength and flexibility in all the right places for those bodies experiencing the effects of age and gravity. It is also appropriate for students of any age who need a slower-paced class and those recovering from pregnancy, travel, injury, or illness. Use of alignment, props, modifications and timings create space and allow the body to unwind and generate its inherent healing intelligence. Conclude with guided breath work (pranayama) to explore and master subtle body energies. Set the tone for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Drawing from the wisdom of strength training, pilates, yoga, and somatic awareness, we will cultivate our ability to move from a place of strength through resistance to find freedom. Honoring the connection between our mind and body, this class was designed with the specific needs of 40+-year-old female minds/bodies and is open to all fitness levels. You will be guided to meet yourself where you are and grow from there.
