Orius Morningstar is a Maui icon. For years he worked at Mana Foods, the funky health food market in the beach town of Paia, on Maui’s North Shore. He was known for his big smile and warm aloha. Even though his job title was store manager, he was a healer and uplifter, offering kindness and service to everyone he met. Now Orius has stepped more fully into his “sol purpose” by offering healing botanical creations through his growing company: Sol Flower Botanicals… Made on Maui. From skin-soothing salves to natural perfumes and colognes, his natural oils and mists are making people smile and say “ahhh…”. My name is Orius. I am the founder and formulator of Sol Flower Botanicals. Sol Flower is a Maui, Hawai’i based botanical company inspired by the bounty of nature. We gather our natural ingredients from high quality sources and are committed to upholding natural and organic standards. Our patron goddess is Laka, the Hawaiian goddess of the forest, herbs, nature, hula and celebration. We honor her spirit.
I specialize in body care and aromatherapy products which aim to uplift the mind, body and spirit, formulated to be therapeutic and elegant. Most all formulas contain Hawaiian grown ingredients and are ‘Human & Reef Safe’. My premiere product is my Skin Serum, an age defying antioxidant rich skin oil. Also of note is the heavenly Hawaiian Sandalwood essential oil (‘Iliahi), available as a pure oil, and used in many of the formulations.
